The next most frequently asked question is "Where can I find a list of unfilled
programs for the past years?"
Last year the American Medical Association AMA has contacted all web site
owners that had match results posted informing them that this material is a
subject of copyright. This is why it is almost impossible to find this
information on the web. However, comparable information is available from
www.residencyplace.com . The list of programs requirements contains
number of unfilled positions in the last year match as well as number of
IMGs for each program reported by the programs themselves: 2002-2007 Unfilled Positions List.

27,944 applicants participated in the Match 2007. 19,863 American Medical Graduates
and 14,965 IMGs. Only 4,527 IMGs have matched leaving 10,348 for
scramble and next year. There were 4,255 IMGs US citizens and Green Card
holders. 1,347 or 32% of them matched. There were 10,710 IMGs that required a
visa. 3,180 of them matched, or 29%. The totals are different by 147 Fifth
Pathway graduates unaccounted here.
